March 3 Midweek Worship

We begin in the name of God,

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

What does this mean, this belief?

I believe that God has created me together with all that exists. God daily and abundantly provides for me.

We confess that Jesus is Lord.

He has redeemed and freed us so that we may belong to him.

How is this possible when we are who we are?

We believe because the Holy Spirit calls us.

Called, gathered, enlightened, and made holy, we praise God.

This is most certainly true!

GATHERING SONG “Let the Lord, Oh My Soul”

Ezekiel 36:23-28

I will sanctify my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them; and the nations shall know that I am the LORD, says the Lord GOD, when through you I display my holiness before their eyes. I will take you from the nations, and gather you from all the countries, and bring you into your own land. I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will remove from your body the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. I will put my spirit within you, and make you follow my statutes and be careful to observe my ordinances. Then you shall live in the land that I gave to your ancestors; and you shall be my people, and I will be your God.

Hymn of the Day "Father I Adore You”

Luther’s Evening Blessing

I give thanks to you, heavenly Father,

through Jesus Christ your dear Son, that you have graciously protected me today. I ask you to forgive me all my sins, where I have done wrong, and graciously to protect me tonight. Into your hands I commend myself: my body, my soul, and all that is mine. Let your holy angel be with me, so that the wicked foe may have no power over me. Amen.
